prologue.

behind every story, there is the storyteller.

Character bio

I was born in Vermont but raised between the Turks and Caicos Islands and Aix-en-Provence, France—a childhood shaped by very different settings and a unique duality of experiences. Later, my journey took me to Charleston, South Carolina, where my family still resides, though I’ve since carved out my own space in Madrid, Spain where I currently reside as I complete my bachelor’s degree in Communication and Digital Media at IE University.

origin story

I’ve been fortunate to grow up surrounded by, what I believe to be storytelling in its rawest form: dinner table conversations. As the child of two extreme extroverts, our home was a revolving door of dinner parties, lively debates, and a constant stream of voices from around the world. Growing up in an expat community, I was always given a seat at the table, where I learned that even the most mundane moments could be told in ways that inspire, connect, and shift perspectives.

My international upbringing granted me a front-row seat to diverse cultures, experiences, and worldviews. Though I may have inherited my parents' love for conversation—never one to turn down an invitation and living by my mother’s motto of “always be the last to leave a party”—at heart, I am an observer. I find beauty in the overlooked, inspiration in the ordinary, and stories in every moment.

Whether it was creating my own newspaper for family and friends—The Good Ol’ Lindsey Times: The Ramblings of a Talkative Ten-Year-Old—or turning family vacations into mini movies and dramatic trailers, I’ve always felt an innate pull to document the world around me. There’s something so compelling to me about capturing a moment, a story, or even the essence of a character and adding it to my ever-growing collection of stories to be inspired from. It’s this instinct to preserve and shape narratives that has led me to embrace the role of storyteller.

What started with iMovie has since evolved into Premiere Pro, larger-scale projects, and a more refined creative vision. As I continue to grow, I am constantly sharpening my craft, expanding my storytelling toolkit, and pushing myself to bring narratives to life in new and impactful ways.

next chapters

I know I am still at the beginning of my journey, eager to learn, adapt, and evolve from the experiences ahead. My goal is to build a career that aligns with my values, sharpens my creative instincts, and allows me to make a meaningful impact.

I believe that storytelling is an overlooked skill, yet its importance grows as the world becomes increasingly automated and de-personalized. An authentic voice and storytelling is becoming both harder to achieve but increasingly critical in the era of AI. An authentic voice has the power to cut through the noise, spark change, and remind us of our shared humanity.

And that is exactly what I intend to do.
